Introduction
Assertiveness does not come naturally to all. This is because we may have learned to use passive behaviour to avoid confrontation. Or, defensive/aggressive behaviours due to lack of confidence. However, these behaviours can be unlearned and assertive behaviour used to produce results that benefit both parties.

We offer practical guidance for anyone who needs to develop their assertiveness skills for a range of workplace situations. You will gain the tools and techniques to boost your confidence and build your self-esteem.

Typical Objectives:

Improving overall effectiveness by behaving in a more positive and confident manner
Dealing with negative behaviours and providing feedback more effectively
Recognising and overcoming feelings of apprehension
Learning how to say ‘No’ without associated guilt
Confidently handling difficult situations assertively
