The Brief
Following a merger, Focus had concerns over a manager fulfilling a key role in an important but complex ‘Payroll Integration’ project. He was enthusiastic and committed but was becoming increasingly disorganised under the demands of the project. It was agreed that he needed help with his personal effectiveness, which in turn would impact upon his project work.
The Solution
We met with both the manager concerned and his line-manager. This was followed by observation and analysis. Observation is most effective when the coach witnesses a varied schedule of activity, reflecting the coachee’s fullest possible range of duties and responsibilities. We concluded the shadowing with a review meeting to deliver constructive feedback regarding suggested areas for improvement.
A series of one-to-one coaching sessions were then designed and delivered to support implementation.
