The Brief
A core of senior managers with Cable & Wireless needed to develop strategic thinking to lead the company’s innovation and expansion. Reality dictated that this needed to happen at the same time as dealing with routine operational issues: operations, customer service, fulfilment of orders and distribution.
The Solution
We strongly recommended that the programme began with some carefully considered analysis. This included 360° feedback, profiling and skills assessment. Managed sensitively and elegantly, this proved to be one of the most valued components by the delegates.
The heart of the workshop was a business simulation that replicated the challenges they faced at work. In this way, the delegates were able to practice their leadership skills in an extremely realistic project. Amongst the many skills it developed were:
