Introduction
Unless teams are highly mature, they can often benefit from a skilled facilitator to help them achieve their aims.
Facilitation is about ensuring the ‘wheels turn smoothly'. A team or meeting will normally get a result eventually, a facilitator enables them to get there faster and more easily.
Typical Objectives
 |
Providing an unbiased ‘chairperson’ to ensure all opinions are voiced and heard |
 |
Using skilled questioning and other techniques (e.g. Nancy Kline ‘Thinking Time’) to bring hidden issues to the surface for exploration where appropriate |
 |
Exercising flexibility to achieve outcomes, as opposed to rigidly sticking to agendas |
 |
Providing a common language to aid perception, agreement and actions |
Sample Programme
We have also helped foster relationships and develop partnerships between clients, suppliers and dealerships. Alternatively, we are frequently asked to transfer these skills ‘in-house’.
The outline programme below is based upon a facilitated event for a dysfunctional senior team.

 |
Agreeing a process for reaching agreed actions (for example: a decision-making process) |
