Introduction
With an increase in dispersed teams, managers face new challenges in working with their teams from a distance. We focus on building and sustaining high performance in a remote team setting.
Some of the challenges that occur more frequently include; building a sense of community, team spirit and presence through technology; providing effective feedback to the team and individuals; creating a virtual environment to motivate the remote team; getting more out of team meetings and briefings; and understanding the emotional, psychological and physical requirements of remote workers.
