Introduction
We found that individuals were increasingly expected to work in ad hoc, project-based and frequently multi-functional teams.
Our programmes develop individual skills which will help these teams gel swiftly together and will be transferable to future teams that these individuals become part of.
Typical Objectives:
 |
Recognising that there are some different skills involved in making these teams work |
 |
Overcoming barriers of distance, cultural differences and lack of time, whilst maintaining communication through technology |
 |
Getting things done through others when you’re remote and have no line authority |
 |
Accelerating the transfer of learning throughout dispersed teams |
 |
Exploring how time pressure has an impact on group and leadership behavior |
Sample Programme
As a result we have designed a number of practical exercises to give ‘virtual’ team opportunities to put their learning into operation.
Our simulations provide a luminous metaphor for the challenges these teams face at work. It helps them to realise the vital importance of clear communication and shared values across teams. A critical skill is the ability to imagine the impact that their actions and decisions have on others.
